TheWolverous zockt für euch: Need For Speed Underground (Folge 46) Need for Speed: Underground (kurz NFSU; engl. für „Verlangen nach Geschwindigkeit: Untergrund”) ist der siebte Teil der von Electronic Arts entwickelten Rennspielserie Need for Speed und erschien in Europa erstmals am 21. November 2003 für PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox und PC. Spielerisch orientiert sich dieser Teil sehr stark an dem Film „The Fast And The Furious”. So sind die meisten der nutzbaren Fahrzeuge von ostasiatischen Herstellern. Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 gibt es einige deutliche Änderungen. So finden alle Rennen nun in der Nacht statt, weshalb es auch keine Polizei mehr gibt. Auch finden die Rennen nicht mehr überwiegend in der Natur, sondern nur noch in einer einzigen fiktiven Stadt statt. Diese Stadt hat zwar ein ausgestaltetes Straßennetz, ist aber dennoch nicht frei befahrbar. Neben den klassischen Rennmodi wie Rundkursrennen und Sprintrennen mit unterschiedlichem Start- und Zielpunkt gibt es als neue Rennmodi Drift- und Dragrennen. Bei den Driftrennen werden Punkte durch möglichst waghalsige und spektakuläre Drifts erzielt und der Fahrer mit den meisten Punkten gewinnt. Dragrennen finden über eine relativ kurze Distanz auf geraden Strecken statt. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Rennmodi gibt es hier kein Automatikgetriebe. Gewonnen hat der Fahrer der als erstes im Ziel ist. Erreicht wird dies, indem zum richtigen Zeitpunkt geschaltet wird. Eine weitere Neuerung …

Normally I feature a texture pack, a mod or two, and some skins. I only got maybe an hour of sleep before work Monday morning but I still wasn’t willing to just ‘slap’ stuff into the video just so the show was well-rounded. Instead I only covered the news – but there was a lot of it. I was at Gamescom All day Saturday and Sunday with a long drive each way. Thanks for understanding!
