Decades before video games, the Internet and cell phones this film is a timeless tribute to an era of inner-technology. “The Butt Race (1965)” is a stop-action film shot one-frame-at-a-time to simulate an auto race without cars. It took 12 hours to film the 1:39 minute movie. There are a number of unique film techniques incorporated into the film that are still utilized today. The entire film was shot with all special effects produced in the camera. There was no editing done on this film.
